Information about author: Stephenie Meyer was born in December 24, 1973.  She was born into a Mormon family and her upbringing does influence her work. She received her Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University. She did not consider being a writer instead became a full time mother.

Stephenie Meyer is the author of seven books. She is widely known for the The Twilight Saga. It consists of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Although it is not part of the Twilight saga, she wrote The Short Second Life  Of Bree Tanner. In addition to those books, she wrote the adult science fiction series of The Host and The Soul.

Plot Summary: A shy, self-conscious, stubborn high school girl, Bella Swan, chooses to live with her dad, Chief Swan, in Forks, Washington after her mother remarries. Bella is soon attracted, later falls in love, to the mysterious and handsome Edward Cullen. Edward, unexplainably, saves Bella from a car accident and she is soon finds out he and his family are vampires. While spending an evening playing baseball with Edward’s family, James, a blood sucking vampire, becomes obsessed with drinking Bella’s blood and pursues her. Eventually, James is killed, but Bella and Edward are left worrying about Victoria, James’ girlfriend.

Critical Evaluation: I truly addicting book series. Meyer’s writing brings readers into the story so that they feel like Bella. I am a newly minted Twilight fan.
